VBS 2012 Day 5

Mystery solved!  \”Those meddling kids\” figured out that it was the detective behind the money box robbery!  He tried to get away, but the \”custodian\” was really an international customs agent trying to figure out whodunnit, too, and she foiled his escape attempts!  Then, as he tried to exit the \”back door,\” the butler, who surprisingly knew karate (unkown to anyone else), put a stop to his escapades very quickly.

They made their very own flip flops in craft time and had Egyptian food for snack time.  Games, once again, were exiting and new.  And during Bible lesson time, 3 more children prayed and asked Jesus to forgive them of their sins and be their Savior!  What a great ending to an awesome week!!!  Praise the Lord!

Here is the final set of pictures from VBS 2012:

VBS 2012 Day 4

Happy Birthday to us!  Today we celebrated everyone\’s birthday because God made us each unique in His image.  More crazy games and songs and \”Password\” in Bible class.  In craft time they made Baby Moses in the bulrushes.  The older kids made baskets for Baby Moses.  Great job, detectives.  Oh, yes, and the big mystery is yet to be solved–so many suspects and only one day left!!!  Can\’t wait to find out \”whodunnit!\”

VBS Day 3

Day 3 of VBS was buggy in a way!  Snack time was \”sand\” with \”worms\” in it!!  They also had fun crossing the \”Nile River\” at game time . . .  During Bible lesson time they learned that Salvation is a free gift from God and all about how Jesus died on the cross to pay for our sins, and that He will save us from our sins if we ask Him to forgive us.  Then 3 of the children attending decided they wanted to accept God\’s free gift of Salvation, so they prayed and asked Jesus to forgive them of their sins and be their Savior!  Praise the Lord for another fantastic day of Vacation Bible School!  Here are some pictures . . .

VBS 2012 Day One

We are so thankful to have Pastor and Mrs. Joel & Melanie Franks here from First Free Will Baptist Church in Glaskow, KY!  They brought a group of teens to help us with our Fun Fair and Vacation Bible School.  This year the theme is all about how God, the Creator, has made us.  Our theme verse is Psalm 139:14, \”I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made, and that my soul knows very well.\”

Here are pictures of assembly & song time, the opening skit, games, crafts, snacks, Bible lessons, and just plain fun.

Last Service at Oak Harbor Village

For the last six years we have been very thankful to have this wonderful storefront facility to rent!  God has blessed us so much in this location!  As thankful as we are for the storefront, we are thrilled to announce that by God\’s grace our Certificate of Occupancy was granted at 100 Exeter Road in Exeter!!!  Thank you so much for your prayers and support throughout this building process!  We have much to do before we can hold our first service, but we are SO excited!!

Here are pictures of Sunday School, Worship, and a group picture after church.  Also included are pictures of everyone helping move stuff over to the new church to make room for VBS.  We are thankful to have Pastor & Mrs. Joel & Melanie Franks with their teens from First FWB Church in Glaskow, KY here to help!!

Fun Fair 2012

We had a lot of fun this year at our Free Family Fun Fair!  It was a perfect day–not too hot!  We got sprinkled on a few times, but the kids didn\’t care because they were already soaked from the Slip-n-Slide! 🙂  Many families pulled up and joined us for games & prizes, popcorn, cotton candy, popsicles, face painting, balloons, and 3 different bounce options!  We were very blessed to have Pastor & Mrs. Joel and Melanie Franks with the youth group from First Free Will Baptist Church in Glaskow, Kentucky, who traveled here to help us.  What a terrific job they did!

Summer 2012

We had a Striped Bass Fellowship on May 20. On Wednesday night before Bro. Tommy Goodfellow led us in a Bible study, the Gedeon family sang for us.  Luke & Matt’s parents and sister came for a visit and sang 2 a capella songs for us.  What a treat!
We are working diligently to complete the building.  The costs of a building like this are extremely high.  Without your continued support, there is no way we could have a quality facility like this.  Thank you so much for continuing to keep us in your prayers and giving.

Please continue to check our website as we hope to have our grand opening roughly in late July.
So many people have helped us with the building! For pictures and details on what is being done, visit www.BeaconFreeWillBaptist.com and click on “Construction Progress.”  There are many galleries of photos with captions by date.  We try to update at least weekly. 🙂
